Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern, PA is seeking an Assist Detail Leader, Executive Protection Specialist to provide discreet protection for the CEO, President, and other senior leaders. You will coordinate protective details, conduct advance work, and maintain strong relationships with front office staff and partners.

The role requires a highly trusted security professional who demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and initiative across domestic and international travel, meetings, and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of related work experience; supervisory experience required.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience supporting C-suite executives, board members, or senior leaders in a corporate setting.
• Experience with domestic and international travel advances, high-profile events, and executive movement planning.
• Training or certifications in executive protection, emergency medical response, defensive driving, threat assessment, or crisis management.
• Experience collaborating with executive assistants, corporate travel, facilities, legal, communications, and external security partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive protection for the CEO, President, Managing Directors, and other assigned senior leaders during daily movements, meetings, events, and domestic or international travel.
• Serve as assist team leader during protective details, coordinating assignments, communications, schedules, and operational readiness.
• Conduct advance work, site assessments, route planning, and threat or vulnerability reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with front office staff, executive assistants, senior leadership, internal partners, and external security stakeholders.
• Exercise discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive executive, business, and personal information.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, venue security, travel teams, event planners, and internal security partners to ensure seamless protective operations.
• Monitor changing conditions, maintain situational awareness, and adjust protective measures based on risk, environment, and executive requirements.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, medical situations, or other security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear operational briefings, post-detail summaries, incident reports, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Model high standards of integrity, trust, teamwork, communication, and accountability for the Executive Protection team.
