Responsibilities

  • Lead high-stakes productions (> $1–5M) independently or with a junior producer while upholding high craft standards.
  • Direct content productions with A-list directors/partners and multi-workstream teams.
  • Keep stakeholders informed and advocate for improved communication and processes.
  • Define project requirements and success metrics; translate concepts into deliverables.
  • Review and scope SOWs with clear scope, risk, and deliverables.
  • Build relationships with Business Affairs and understand bid formats.
  • Ensure SAG-AFTRA guidelines are followed for talent use and payment.
  • Lead post-project reviews and share learnings across teams.
  • Apply production technology to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Mentor junior producers to elevate overall production quality.

Job description

Executive Producer

The Executive Producer elevates and ensures creative excellence through production on their assigned accounts.

Temporary assignment starting ASAP through 12/18, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role; however, neither is guaranteed at this time.

W2 only. Candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.

Preferred location: Preference for candidates based in or near NYC or CHI.

Must be available to work during Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

Customer wellness, healthcare, or health-adjacent industry experience is required.

Responsibilities
Production
  • Lead (> 1-5mil) high-stakes Productions independently (or with the support of a jr. producer) and upholding the work to high craft standards
  • Adept at leading Content Productions with A-list Directors/Partners, Celebrity talent and multiple workstreams and media.
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders are kept informed and (if needed) educated on the production process. Lead advocacy for improved communication and work processes across disciplines.
  • Lead the discovery/vetting process on large engagements to accurately scope projects while defining project requirements and success metrics; this includes evolving creative concepts into clear sets of deliverables and ability to develop production solutions that ensure creative excellence within budget parameters
  • Ability to understand SOW's with clear scope, risk, assumptions and deliverables and review those drafted by project management.
  • Build strong relationships with Business Affairs as a partner in discovery and through the production process. Have full understanding of AICP and AICE bid format.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of SAG-AFTRA guidelines for shooting and recording of talent, including usage and payment considerations.
  • Lead post project summary meetings and suggest ways to instill learnings within the department and across disciplines.
  • Clear understanding of production technology and how to implement for efficiencies
Creative Delivery and Network
  • Elevate the creative; Find versatile solutions to keep good ideas alive and help tell stories in an innovative way whether it's through technology, video, social, experiential or all things combined. Lead the evolution of creative concepts into even stronger executions.
  • Have your ear to the ground, have your eye on who's popping, know the industry giants. Help maintain dentsu creative's cultural capital and credibility by working with both the up-and-comers and the most wanted established partners.
  • Continually cultivate strong relationships with outside partners and have a wide network but close connections for the range of work we produce.
Management
  • If needed, o versee multidisciplinary producers, and their work input. Assign/brief each project to the appropriate producer and oversee their process and deliverables; Vendor casting, bid analysis, SOW/estimate writing, project organization, meeting purpose and protocol, risk assessment, time management, scoping and actualizing.
  • Mentor junior producers to a versatile production approach by developing their own creative problem-solving skills with the goal to always have the highest quality of execution.
  • Share inspirational work, innovative technological solutions and best practices within the industry.
  • Utilize agency tech and tools according to department protocols: production toolkit: including templates, hot sheets, status documents and wrap report.
