Mente Group is launching a brand-new Flight Department in the Southern Bay Area, CA, reporting to the Corporate Aviation Director. The department will support a private Gulfstream G700 operation for a distinguished client.

The Corporate Aviation Director will lead this new unit from the ground up, building the team, setting standards, and overseeing every aspect of a world-class private flight operation, including fleet strategy, scheduling, vendor management, and financial administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years leading flight departments; 5+ years in general aviation.
• FAA Part 91 knowledge and audit readiness.

Responsabilités

• Act as client’s on-site representative translating travel needs into an operating plan.
• Own aircraft fleet strategy including utilization, readiness, lifecycle planning, basing, and assessments of replacement needs.
• Manage fractional aviation hours including forecasting, usage tracking, scheduling coordination, and cost oversight.
• Coordinate asset utilization between multiple operating platforms.
• Develop and maintain vendor routines, including service reviews, performance discussions, issue resolution, and accountability to service levels.
• Ensure pilots, maintenance staff, and cabin crew are current on licensing and recurrent training.
• Partner with the client’s corporate security function to align ground transportation and travel-security protocols with flight operations.
• Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and prepare aviation reporting and executive updates.
• Own the aviation program’s day-to-day financial administration — invoices, budgets, forecasts, and supporting documentation for tax/regulatory reporting.
• Cultivate relationships with the client’s leadership, aircraft operators, and industry contacts for smooth operation.
• Coordinate with administrative, financial, and security leads to ensure safety and efficiency for travelers.
