Job summary

First Baptist Church, Richmond, KY is seeking a seasoned administrator and ordained minister to oversee church finance, operations, and facilities. The role collaborates with the Lead Pastor to supervise staff, coordinate discipleship programming, and provide pastoral care.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in church leadership, strong communication, and a track record of team building. Seminary study is preferred. The position reports to the Lead Pastor and is based in Richmond, Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Ordained minister affirming the Baptist Faith and Message
• Bachelor’s degree (business, admin, communication, HR, or related) or equivalent leadership experience
• Seminary degree (or actively pursuing one) preferred
• 5+ years in church administration, financial oversight, or supervisory leadership preferred
• Strong communicator, organized, and a proven team leader

Responsibilities

• Oversee church finance, operations, and facilities
• Supervise ministerial and support staff in cooperation with the Lead Pastor
• Coordinate GROW small groups and discipleship programming in cooperation with the Discipleship Coordinator
• Preach and provide pastoral care as needed
• Lead staff development, hiring, and performance processes in cooperation with the Lead Pastor
• Support baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other church ordinances
