Job description

Intellibus Consulting is a boutique engineering AI and engineering firm that builds Intelligent Business Platforms for enterprises undergoing large-scale digital modernization.

This transformation is based on a simple belief: we value engineers and engineering, and use technology to make life simple.

We are hands-on builders, not slide-only consultants. Our leadership works alongside clients and engineering teams to turn complex business and technology challenges into measurable outcomes.

We are leading modernization initiatives for a large brick-and-mortar retail organization, covering: Customer-facing platforms, Store operations systems, Merchandising platforms, Supply chain & logistics systems & Data, AI, and automation platforms.

We bring together AI, data and exceptional engineering to tackle the problems enterprises have learned to live with — making the complex simple, and building what comes next.

We are an Inc. 5000 company, also creators of the AI Masterclass in collaboration with NYU, and a recipient of the 2026 UK Government Innovation Award.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Executive Partner to lead one of Intellibus' most important emerging relationships with a large U.S. brick-and-mortar retailer.

This is not a traditional account-management or sales role.

You will be Intellibus' senior executive accountable for the relationship — partnering with the client's C-suite and technology leadership to shape the transformation agenda, ensure we deliver meaningful business outcomes, and build a long-term strategic partnership.

The relationship will begin with focused transformation initiatives but has the potential to grow into a significant multi-year partnership spanning merchandising, stores, supply chain, data, AI, engineering and enterprise technology.

The mandate is simple:

Build trust. Shape the agenda. Deliver outcomes. Grow the partnership.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has already earned credibility in the retail industry and can operate comfortably from the boardroom to the engineering organization.

You will likely have been a Partner, Managing Director, GM, SVP/VP, senior retail executive, or equivalent, with a track record of leading major client relationships or enterprise transformations.

Most importantly, you understand that great partnerships are built by delivering business outcomes — not selling projects.

You bring:
  • Deep experience in traditional retail / brick-and-mortar environments, ideally grocery or adjacent retail.
  • Strong understanding of how merchandising, stores, supply chain, digital, data and technology come together in a modern retailer.
  • Established credibility working directly with CEOs, Boards and C-suite executives.
  • Experience shaping and leading significant technology or business transformation programs.
  • A track record of building and growing strategic enterprise relationships.
  • The ability to translate business priorities into a transformation agenda that technology and engineering teams can execute.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to identify where Intellibus can create meaningful additional value.
  • Enough technology depth to engage credibly on AI, data, platforms, engineering and enterprise modernization without needing to be the deepest technologist in the room.
  • A builder's mindset — comfortable entering an emerging relationship and creating something significant rather than inheriting an established account.
What You Will Own

Executive Relationship:

Be the senior Intellibus partner for the client.

Build trusted relationships with the CEO, Chairman and senior leadership team and become a thought partner on business, technology and transformation priorities.

Understand what matters to each executive and ensure Intellibus consistently delivers against those priorities.

Transformation Agenda:

Connect individual initiatives into a coherent, multi-year transformation and simplification agenda.

Work with Intellibus and client leadership to identify where AI, data, engineering and platform modernization can materially simplify the business and create competitive advantage.

Challenge fragmented or one-off solutions and help the organization think across the enterprise.

Business Outcomes:

Ensure our work creates measurable business value.

Establish clear outcomes, maintain executive visibility into progress and intervene early when delivery, adoption or value realization is at risk.

Partnership Growth:

Grow the relationship by creating value, not selling capacity.

Identify adjacent problems where Intellibus can help, connect capabilities across business functions and progressively expand the partnership as credibility and results are established.

One Intellibus:

Bring together the right Intellibus leaders, engineers and capabilities around the client.

Provide air cover for delivery teams, remove organizational barriers and ensure the client experiences Intellibus as one integrated partner rather than a collection of projects.

Build the Future:

Help establish the long-term operating model for the relationship, including development of a Jamaica-based engineering and technology capability that can become an extension of the client's organization.

Over time, help build a partnership capable of supporting transformation across the broader enterprise.

What Success Looks Like

Success is not measured simply by account revenue.

We will know this role is working when:

The client trusts us with harder problems.

Our work is producing measurable business outcomes.

Individual projects are becoming an integrated transformation agenda.

Our teams are viewed as an extension of the client's organization.

And the relationship grows because of the value we create.

Experience
  • 15–20+ years across retail, technology, consulting, transformation or related leadership roles.
  • Significant leadership experience within or serving major retail organizations.
  • Experience owning senior executive relationships and major enterprise programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional transformations.
  • Experience growing substantial strategic client relationships or businesses.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgment.
  • Strong executive communication and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and build new organizations, capabilities or relationships.

Prior experience at a major retailer, technology company, hyperscaler, consulting firm or transformation organization serving retail would be particularly relevant.

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You are not looking for an established account to manage.

You want to build one.

You enjoy sitting with a CEO discussing where the business needs to go, then sitting with engineers figuring out how to make it happen.

You care about the quality of what gets built, the people building it and whether it actually makes the client's business better.

And when something is unnecessarily complicated, your instinct is to simplify it.

That is how we think at Intellibus.

Compensation

Compensation: $250,000–$350,000, depending on experience and fit, plus meaningful performance-based upside.

This is designed as an entrepreneurial Partner-level role. As the relationship grows, so does the opportunity. Performance compensation will recognize the business value created, strength and growth of the client partnership, and overall success of the account.

For the right individual, we are open to discussing a longer-term incentive structure aligned with building a significant, enduring business for Intellibus.
