Orion Placement is seeking an accomplished operations executive to join the executive leadership team in Chicago. You will shape long-term strategy and drive firm-wide operational excellence across finance, HR, technology, and operations while partnering with ownership to realize growth.

This role requires a bachelor's degree with a preference for an MBA and 10+ years in senior operations leadership within a law firm or professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of executive or senior operations leadership experience.
• Experience leading operations in a law firm or professional services.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the executive leadership team and execute the strategic vision.
• Lead firm-wide operational strategy and continuous process improvement.
• Oversee finance, budgeting, billing, AR/AP, reporting, and risk management.
• Collaborate with department heads to align business functions.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to improve performance.
• Guide HR functions including talent acquisition and workforce planning.
• Champion technology modernization and AI adoption.
• Foster a high-performance culture and stakeholder relationships.
• Represent the organization professionally within business and legal communities.
