Job summary

Leoforce represents an established 40-bed hospital in Norwood, Ohio seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to provide executive leadership for nursing services and related clinical departments. The role oversees nursing operations, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety, with roughly 10 direct reports and collaboration with the CEO and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Master's degree is required.
• Active RN license or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital experience.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for nursing and assigned clinical departments.
• Oversee approximately 10 direct reports across nursing and ancillary clinical functions.
• Lead nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and clinical performance.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on hospital strategy and operational priorities.
• Maintain high standards for patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and nursing practice.
• Support Joint Commission readiness and ongoing accreditation standards.
• Develop Nurse Managers, Nurse Supervisors, and emerging nursing leaders.
• Evaluate staffing models, patient acuity, workforce needs, and nursing performance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, accountability, and professional development across nursing.
