Job summary

Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen seeks the Executive Pastor of Ministry to lead ministry staff across campuses, outreach, worship, care, kids, students, connections, groups, formation, people, and strategy. This role partners with the Senior Pastor to advance the church’s mission and ensures alignment with biblical principles.

The Executive Pastor will guide budgeting, annual planning, staff development, and ministry measurement, while modeling Westwood’s values and pastoral leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master of Divinity is preferred.
• Experience leading large numbers of people through complex situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Biblical qualification for pastoral leadership and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead ministry staff across campuses, outreach, worship, care, kids, students, connections, groups, and formation.
• Partner with the Senior Pastor to implement the church’s mission and strategy.
• Oversee budgeting, annual planning, and staff development.
• Establish ministry goals, evaluate effectiveness, and maintain a ministry scorecard.
• Collaborate with Operations as needed and appropriate.
• Engage with local and regional community leaders and donors as requested.
