Overview
The Executive Meeting Manager leverages organizational skills to ensure profitable execution of all group events, meeting or exceeding revenue expectations, and fostering a high-performance culture within the Convention Services Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Understand and manage monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  2. Enhance meeting planner satisfaction scores through effective strategies.
  3. Optimize room rental charges and re-book repeat business.
  4. Participate in industry organizations (NACE, MPI).
  5. Apply strong sales, negotiation, and client presentation skills.
  6. Coordinate with banquet and audiovisual departments for event success.
  7. Develop creative event setups, menus, and functions in collaboration with culinary staff.
  8. Oversee operations, including detailed execution of banquet event orders.
  9. Manage vendor relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
  10. Monitor group room blocks and generate detailed reports for departments.
  11. Maintain consistent attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Experience in hospitality, specifically catering sales, with at least 1 year in the industry.
  2. Experience at a comparable hotel size and quality.
  3. High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
  5. Strong sales, revenue management, and team motivation skills.
  6. Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and market competitors.
  7. Effective communication skills and ability to work under deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits
