Hyatt Regency Times Square, located in the heart of Times Square, is directly on Broadway between 48th and 49th Streets. This modern, full-service hotel features 795 newly renovated guestrooms, surrounded by Broadway theaters, shopping, and sightseeing attractions.

Overview

At Hyatt, we prioritize authentic hospitality delivered by caring and attentive associates. The Sales & Service Manager is a key team member responsible for booking, coordinating, and executing small group events from start to finish. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure exceptional service and uphold Hyatt’s standards at our Midtown Manhattan location. The position focuses on direct booking and management of small meeting and room blocks for corporate and social clients, maximizing hotel revenue through upselling and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Build client partnerships and ensure all details are communicated and executed effectively.
  • Sell guest rooms, food, and beverage to small groups, meeting monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Review sales contracts, room blocks, cut-off dates, concessions, and attrition clauses with clients.
  • Monitor deadlines related to group room cut-offs, BEO requirements, and function guarantees.
  • Create and distribute group resumes, communicating changes promptly.
  • Recommend upgrades to maximize revenue.
  • Engage in site visits and client meetings.
  • Confirm payment details.
  • Participate in weekly sales, operations, and BEO meetings.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts, providing pricing within guidelines.
  • Represent the hotel professionally at client and industry events.
  • Obtain rooming lists and request deposits as applicable.
  • Maintain a passion for outperforming competitors.
  • Attend all relevant department and hotel meetings.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel; knowledge of sales software (e.g., Delphi, SalesPro, Marriott Systems) is helpful.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to call on clients.
  • Customer-focused, calm, and courteous at all times.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and build rapport with clients.
  • Effective communication skills for meetings and events, including keeping departments informed with BEOs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
