The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting, negotiating, and securing new and repeat group and meeting business while delivering world-class guest and client service throughout the planning and execution process.
This role ensures a seamless experience for clients from initial inquiry through event completion, fostering long-term relationships and driving revenue growth. The Executive Meeting Manager will work collaboratively with the hotel’s Sales team and operational departments to achieve revenue goals and uphold company and brand standards.
- Proactively solicit, negotiate, book, and detail group room blocks and catering events to maximize hotel revenue.
- Responsible for detailing BEOS for all secured contracts.
- Manage the full lifecycle of group business from initial inquiry through event execution, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts through consistent communication and outstanding service, encouraging repeat business.
- Conduct outside sales calls and prospecting efforts with local businesses, organizations, and key industry partners to generate new business opportunities.
- Execute proactive sales strategies and consistently meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue goals for rooms and catering.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance group packages, maximizing profitability while meeting client needs.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships within the local business community to drive awareness and position the hotel as a preferred meeting and event destination.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and operational departments to ensure seamless event planning, accurate detailing, and successful execution.
- Maintain accurate sales records, activity reports, and account information in the hotel’s sales system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales and revenue objectives.

Education, Experience, Certifications & Requirements
- Minimum of five years of general sales experience. Direct experience in hotel sales is preferred.
- Four-year degree related to sales and hospitality required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
- Strong administrative skills, including business writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Previous hotel sales experience preferred, particularly with a national brand and a proven track record of success in sales and revenue generation.
- Exceptional service skills, with a strong ability to foster effective relationships with all levels of staff, management, and clientele.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation to visit clients on a regular basis.
