Mass General Brigham is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician leader to serve as Executive Medical Director for Community Physicians. This high-impact role advances clinical strategy, value-based care, and partnerships across our community affiliate network.

The Executive Medical Director collaborates across clinical, operational, and population health teams, driving affiliate performance, practice transformation, and growth opportunities while ensuring physician engagement and well-being.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license required.
• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or Business Administration (MBA) required.
• 5–7+ years of clinical experience in primary care.
• 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in medical management or physician leadership roles.
• Experience in value-based care and population health.
• Strong knowledge of ambulatory operations and practice management.
• Ability to influence and engage physicians and clinical teams.
• Data-driven decision-making and performance management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in quality, safety, access, equity, and cost performance across affiliate practices.
• Serve as a physician liaison between community practices and system leadership, including PHSO, OCMO, and operations.
• Lead practice performance reviews using data and analytics.
• Advance value-based care initiatives and improve population health outcomes.
• Support practice transformation and innovation, including new care delivery models.
• Enhance ambulatory workflows and improve clinician experience.
• Identify and cultivate strategic growth opportunities across the network.
• Promote physician engagement, development, and well-being.
