Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Executive Medical Director for Community Physicians to lead ambulatory care strategy, drive value-based care performance, and strengthen partnerships across the community affiliate network.

The role reports across PHSO and OCMO, focusing on clinical transformation, growth opportunities, and improving quality, access, equity, and provider experience across affiliate practices. Regular travel to community sites is expected.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license; MPH or MBA required.
• 5-7+ years clinical experience in primary care; 8-10+ years leadership in medical management.
• Experience in value-based care and population health; strong ambulatory operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in quality, safety, access, equity, and cost performance across affiliate practices.
• Serve as a physician liaison between community practices and system leadership (PHSO, OCMO, operational teams).
• Lead practice performance reviews using data and analytics.
• Advance value-based care initiatives and population health outcomes.
• Support practice transformation and innovation including new care models.
• Enhance ambulatory workflows and clinician experience.
• Identify and cultivate strategic growth opportunities.
• Promote physician engagement and well-being.
