• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees preferred in rehab-related fields.
• Minimum 3–5 years direct patient care experience in rehab settings.
• 1–2 years of direct management or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and related financial systems.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and maintain regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise clinical and administrative staff within the rehab department.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, training and development of personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Delegate tasks and guide therapy managers, assistants, and students.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling and quality assurance.
• Develop and maintain departmental policies to ensure compliance and quality care.
• Monitor department budget, revenues, expenses and forecasting.
• Present reports on performance, outcomes, and budget to senior management.
• Provide clinical leadership and develop new rehab programs to meet needs.
• Ensure compliance with CARF, CMS and other standards.
