Job summary

Solano County is seeking an Administrator to provide executive oversight for a broad portfolio of public assistance programs and employment services. You will lead a team of over 400 staff across multiple management levels, ensuring compliant, efficient delivery and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, policy development, budget administration, and effective collaboration with county leadership, labor organizations, and community partners to advance equitable service

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of community Social Services, including at least two (2) years of direct program management and supervision of professional staff.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in Social Work, Business or Public Administration or related field.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License may be required and licenses must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for a workforce of 400+ full-time employees across multiple management levels.
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate delivery of CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, General Assistance, and employment services.
• Lead organizational strategy for performance, customer service, and operational efficiency using data-driven decision making.
• Develop and administer divisional budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Represent the Division in meetings with Board of Supervisors, other departments, and community partners.
