Job summary

Apple TV in Culver City is seeking a world-class production executive to serve as Head of Series Production. You will lead the physical production strategy for a global slate of original series, guiding development to final delivery while maintaining Apple’s standards for quality and on-time, on-budget execution.

The role requires 15+ years in producing or executive roles at major studios or production companies, with a track record of managing large-scale series and strong budgeting expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience as a Producer and/or Production Executive.
• Senior executive experience (e.g., VP, SVP, Head of Production) at a major global studio, streaming service, or production company.
• Direct experience managing an annual production slate.
• A portfolio of work including projects recognized by major awards bodies.
• Unmatched proficiency in budgeting and scheduling; mastery of Movie Magic Budgeting/Scheduling, Word, and Excel is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent distinguished experience.
• Masters Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ultimate accountable executive for the physical production of all Apple Original Series, providing strategic oversight and final sign-off on production plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Architect and direct the master production and post-production schedules for the TV slate, ensuring an efficient workflow aligned with Apple’s content strategy.
• Provide executive oversight and final approval on budgets, ensuring fiscal integrity from development to delivery.
• Direct cross-functional teams across the studio including Creative, Finance, Legal, and Post-Production to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Leverage a network of talent to attract and hire producers, department heads, and key crew for critical projects.
• Interface with Legal to navigate complex legal, labor, and clearance challenges in global productions.
• Pioneer and implement new production policies and procedures defining Apple TV’s operating backbone.
