Job summary

Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery is seeking a Director of Emergency Services in Sarasota, FL. This senior leadership role oversees strategic and operational management of emergency behavioral health and crisis services, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality care.

The position requires a healthcare or behavioral health background, 5+ years of progressive experience, and 3+ years in management, with strong regulatory knowledge and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in behavioral health, healthcare administration, social services, nursing, psychology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare or behavioral health experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing emergency, crisis, behavioral health, substance use, or related services.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of behavioral health crisis systems and emergency services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for Emergency Services.
• Ensure delivery of safe, timely, coordinated, high-quality behavioral health and substance use services.
• Oversee crisis response, emergency admissions, assessment, stabilization, disposition, patient flow, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with hospitals, EMS, law enforcement, courts, community partners, and internal programs.
• Develop systems, monitor performance, set measurable expectations, and develop leaders.
• Ensure alignment with mission, objectives, regulatory requirements, and standards of care.
