Job summary

Truist in Charlotte, NC, seeks an IT Operations professional to provide white-glove technology support for Executive Leadership, Operating Council members, Board of Directors, and Executive Assistants across devices and collaboration platforms.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement, support, and maintain executive-facing technology solutions, applying strong analytics to resolve issues and improve service delivery, onboarding/offboarding, and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
  • Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
  • Proven track record in governance, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
  • Experience providing executive-level technology support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers technology operations for assigned systems or services with independent supervision.
  • Owns defined processes, develops standards, runbooks, and governance patterns.
  • Leads components of larger initiatives, plans, designs, and implements solutions.
  • Analyzes tools and processes, evaluates emerging technologies, and implements improvements.
  • Provides technical guidance and coaching through design reviews and troubleshooting.
  • Translates requirements into practical implementation plans and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with vendors and adjacent teams for integration and design alignment.
  • Monitors metrics and logs to identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Acts as technical contact point for vendors and partners on solutions.
  • May perform incident response and participates in disaster recovery and business continuity.

Job Description

Provides white-glove technology support for Executive Leadership, Operating Council members, Board of Directors, and Executive Assistants, ensuring a secure, reliable, and seamless technology experience across devices, collaboration platforms, communication services, and executive-facing technologies. Collaborates with internal technology teams and vendors to implement, support, and maintain technology solutions that enhance executive productivity and business continuity. Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues, improve service delivery, support executive onboarding and offboarding activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of executive technology services, operational processes, and technology standards. Works independently while building strong partnerships across teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service, confidentiality, and operational excellence.

  • Delivers technology operations for assigned systems or services, working independently under general supervision to meet targets for performance, availability, reliability, and security.
  • Owns and executes defined processes within the area of responsibility, contributing to the development and maintenance of technology standards, runbooks, and governance patterns, and applying them consistently to reduce risk, support compliance, and improve day-to-day operations.
  • Leads components of larger initiatives or moderately complex efforts within the job area by planning, designing, and implementing technical solutions and operational improvements, collaborating with other teams and, where appropriate, coordinating tasks for lower level technical professionals.
  • Demonstrates innovative thinking by analyzing current tools and processes, evaluating emerging technologies, automation, and optimization techniques, and implementing changes that improve efficiency, reliability, or supportability for owned services.
  • Provides technical guidance and informal coaching to teammates by participating in design and code reviews, assisting with complex troubleshooting, and sharing best practices, patterns, and documentation.
  • Translates technical and business requirements into practical implementation plans, offering recommendations that support enhancements to products, services, or operational practices.
  • Collaborates with vendors, partners, and adjacent teams to support integration, solution design, and adherence to operational and architectural expectations.
  • Monitors and analyzes operational metrics, logs, and observability data for owned services, using deep analysis to identify issues, propose remediation options, and drive continuous improvement activities that materially affect job area performance.
  • Serves as a technical contact point for vendors, partners, and adjacent teams on assigned solutions or services, collaborating on design and integration choices and helping ensure they align with established operational and architectural expectations.
  • May perform incident response for medium‑to‑high priority issues, including identification, triage, troubleshooting, and restoration, while collaborating across teams to diagnose root causes and implement long‑term fixes.
  • Contributes to the design and maintenance of incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for the assigned domain, and may lead technical investigation and resolution for significant incidents within area of responsibility.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
  • Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
  • Proven track record in technology governance, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience providing executive-level technology support to senior leadership, Executive Assistants, and other key stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies, mobile platforms, endpoint management, and conferencing solutions.
  • Experience supporting executive onboarding and offboarding processes, device lifecycle management, and executive event technology readiness.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) principles, incident management, service delivery, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively partner across technology and business teams.
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA, or equivalent technical credentials.
