Job summary

City of Hope seeks an Executive Director, Human Resources to shape the people strategy and deliver outcomes across the entity. You will provide strategic guidance, executive coaching, and leadership to presidents and leaders, driving talent, engagement, and organization solutions that strengthen culture and patient outcomes.

This role partners with HR leaders to align talent strategy, workforce planning, change management, and labor relations while supporting system HR transformation initiatives

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• 10+ years in a people leader role.
• JD or HR Investigator credentials preferred.
• SHRM certification preferred.
• Experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Research or Academic settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior HR strategic partner to executives at the entity level, shaping people and engagement plans to achieve business outcomes.
• Translate business strategies into organization design, workforce planning, and culture priorities.
• Develop HR strategies representing business needs while championing a system mindset.
• Lead strategic workforce planning and organizational capability building.
• Drive transformation of the HR model within the assigned entity and contribute to system HR transformation.
• Lead organizational design, integration, and productivity improvements; drive change leadership across complex environments.
• Build leadership pipeline through succession planning and leadership development.
