Placements24 is seeking an Executive Housekeeper for a reputable hotel in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead the housekeeping department, ensure immaculate guest rooms, public areas and staff facilities, and manage inventory and budgets.

The role requires proven experience in hotel housekeeping leadership, strong knowledge of cleaning standards, budgets, training staff, and excellent communication. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control inventory effectively.
• Proficiency in hotel management software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations including room cleaning, public areas, and laundry.
• Develop and implement efficient housekeeping procedures and standards.
• Manage and train housekeeping staff to ensure high performance.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public spaces for cleanliness and presentation.
• Manage inventory of supplies, linens, and amenities and control costs.
• Develop and manage the housekeeping department budget.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to address guest needs.
• Oversee training of new housekeeping staff on hotel policies.
• Maintain a positive and professional department environment.
