Position Overview

The Executive Housekeeper oversees all housekeeping operations and staff, ensuring standards are met through inspections, managing priorities, implementing procedures, and handling financial tasks like budgeting. They support staff, perform housekeeping duties when needed, and manage HR functions such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations. They report maintenance issues, handle guest requests, and coordinate with other departments. Regular attendance is essential as the industry operates 24/7.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
  • Computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and hotel systems preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience as assistant or supervisor in housekeeping
  • Guest relations experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, work nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, including hiring and evaluations
  • Assist in budget development and monitor performance
  • Maintain cost control for staffing and supplies
  • Ensure quality service and guest satisfaction
  • Schedule staff and prepare daily assignments
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in all areas
  • Report on departmental status and manage security of equipment and guest property
  • Order supplies, conduct inventories, and maintain key control
  • Implement deep cleaning programs and act as Manager on Duty when needed
  • Conduct monthly meetings and participate in staff meetings
  • Complete assigned projects
Work Environment

Indoor settings including guest rooms, corridors, and storage areas, with variable temperature and noise, and exposure to fumes, dust, biohazards, and chemicals.

Salary

$16.50 per hour
