Job summary

Viking Cruises is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping and laundry on a cruise ship, supervising 90–100 officers and crew. You will drive cleanliness, safety, and service excellence in guest staterooms, public areas, and shipwide operations.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years as an Executive Housekeeper in a 5‑star setting, with ship operations experience and strong English communication. Leadership of a multicultural team and strict adherence to standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as Executive Housekeeper in a 5‑star hospitality environment.
• Experience with ship operations of 500+ staterooms.
• Fluent in English; additional language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect housekeeping areas and the main laundry facility to ensure a clean and safe shipboard environment.
• Monitor routine maintenance of staterooms, public areas, crew areas and laundry facilities.
• Lead a multi‑cultural team and provide feedback during daily reunions and shipboard updates.
• Oversee inventory control and approve purchase orders and requisitions.
• Ensure adherence to Viking STAR Service Standards and Public Health Policies.
