Job summary

East West Hospitality is seeking an Executive Housekeeper for Snowmass Mountain Lodging, overseeing housekeeping for multiple properties and common areas with a focus on guest satisfaction and cost control.

The role leads hiring, training, and development of Housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with SOPs and Labor Standards while coordinating payroll and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in hospitality management or equivalent experience.
• Three years experience as a Housekeeping Manager at an upscale property is highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills and ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage and retain all Housekeeping employees (Contracted or SML Employees).
• Be familiar with and be able to perform to the requirements of all Housekeeping job descriptions.
• Train, develop, coach and counsel, resolve problems, provide open communication, progressive discipline and terminate, as appropriate.
• Ensure proper staffing levels in the division in order to maintain owner, rental guest and association common area housekeeping needs.
• Conduct performance reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication, discipline and terminate, as appropriate.
• Conduct regular employee meetings
• Review and complete payroll for all assigned employees
• Responsible for the professional development of subordinate managers and inspectors, to include professional training, personal coaching, and developing individual goals for each person.
• Assures department is compliant with all applicable Department of Labor Requirements and Standards.

About the Role

The Executive Housekeeper (EH) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the housekeeping program for Snowmass Mountain Lodging for individually owned vacation Condominiums, as well as lobbies, hallways, common areas, bathrooms, offices, etc. in a number of properties.

The EH is responsible for the hiring, training, management and the development of all Housekeeping personnel including Assistant Executive Housekeepers, Inspectors, Housemen, Laundry Attendants, and Night Housemen. This position oversees all Housekeeping operations to control costs, enforce consistency as it relates to standard operating procedures, quality service and employee development, in addition to providing exceptional levels of guest service through the guest and owner stays. This position will respond quickly to requests and/or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure that appropriate action is taken to guarantee guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include all administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the company as it relates to the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. This position will operate in accordance with all East West Hospitality policies, procedures, and standards as well as be responsible for compliance with all required training by East West Hospitality.

  • Pay Rate: $90,000 to $100,000 Salary
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-5pm, nights, weekends, holidays as needed
  • Employment Status: Full-Time Year Round

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in hospitality management an asset; OR three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years experience as a Housekeeping Manager at an upscale property highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills and proven ability to supervise required.

Language Skills

• Ability to speak Spanish required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to fellow team members and top management.
