Monrovia TownePlace Suites in Monrovia, CA is hiring a Hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily housekeeping operations and coach a team to deliver clean, welcoming spaces. This full-time role emphasizes standards, safety, and guest satisfaction.

The position requires at least 6 months to 1 year of supervisory housekeeping experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules and inventory. Benefits include medical/dental/vision and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months to one (1) year of housekeeping or hotel supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Train team members on brand standards, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Inspect guest rooms and areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards.
• Assign daily work schedules and rooms.
• Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new housekeeping associates.
• Monitor inventory of linens and cleaning products.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure proper documentation.
• Follow up on rooms to ensure readiness and cleanliness.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and meet brand and company standards. This role leads by example, coaches team members, and helps create an exceptional experience for every guest.

• Supervise and support the daily activities of the housekeeping team.

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Assign daily work schedules, room assignments, and distribute keys.
• Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new housekeeping associates.
• Monitor inventory of linens, guest room supplies, and cleaning products.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure repairs are properly documented.
• Follow up on vacant, occupied, and inspected rooms to ensure readiness.
• Maintain and manage lost and found items according to company procedures.
• Step in to clean guest rooms and assist the team as needed.
• Promote a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Six (6) months to one (1) year of housekeeping or hotel supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to clean guest rooms according to brand standards and productivity expectations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout an entire shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises a housekeeping team of approximately 1–10 employees.
• Supports scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management while fostering a positive team culture.
