Supervise housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel, brand, and/or company business objectives. Job Description

1. Participate in preparing the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on increased productivity and decreased turnover.
2. Maintain proper inventory levels, managing costs per room for supplies and labor.
3. Manage staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees.
4. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to manage conflict and improve team morale.
5. Educate and train employees in compliance with brand, governmental, and safety regulations, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment.
6. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
7. Assist with deep cleaning projects and during high-volume periods.
8. Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and good repair, meeting guest satisfaction standards.
9. Address deficiencies, instruct on corrective actions, and provide retraining as needed.
10. Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest rooms.
11. Respond to guest complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
12. Ensure rooms meet or exceed brand standards.
13. Maintain and order supplies efficiently, promoting green initiatives.
14. Follow procedures for security of lost and found items.
15. Attend department meetings and training sessions.
16. Contribute to a positive hotel culture and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. One to two years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
3. Basic computer skills required.
4. PMS experience preferred (e.g., Opera, Visual Matrix, OnQ).
5. Second languages preferred.
