Job Summary:

An Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience while evaluating guest satisfaction and setting department targets and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee housekeeping operations
2. Oversee Laundry Operations
3. Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement
4. Ensure everyone in the department is trained and using Quore on a daily basis
5. Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
6. Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
7. Inspect, regularly, all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance to standards and take action as necessary to conform to standard
8. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping/Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
9. Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities
10. Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
11. Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
12. Ensure ongoing training
13. Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
14. Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
15. Recruit, manage, train and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team
16. Competent in property management systems
17. Assist other departments wherever necessary
18. Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R’s Culture, Mission and Values.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Housekeeping/laundry experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial or supervisory capacity
2. Proficiency in Quore
3. A successful track record of managing a large team
4. A high school certificate or equivalent
5. High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
6. Previous experience of managing a department and Profit and Loss account
7. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
8. Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
9. Ability to work under pressure
10. IT proficiency
11. Excellent grooming standards
12. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
13. Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
14. Strong organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills
