Raines Co. is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to oversee the entire hotel’s cleanliness, including laundry, public areas, and guest rooms.

The role emphasizes team leadership, adherence to brand standards, and financial oversight of the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have five years of progressive hotel experience, prior executive housekeeping leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in hotels or related fields.

  • Experience leading teams in housekeeping departments.
  • Experience with brand standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the Housekeeping staff, coaching and guiding to maintain morale and performance.
  • Sets standards and schedules for housekeeping tasks; plans daily assignments.
  • Manages department finances, including cost per occupied room and budget adherence.
  • Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Submits recommendations for repairs, furnishings, and equipment, and coordinates with Engineering.

Position Summary

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the entire hotel.

Essential Job Functions
  • Directs the Housekeeping staff, by coaching, counseling, providing guidance and correcting work, while motivating team to improve and maintain positive morale
  • Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff. Plans work schedules and daily assignments to ensure adequate service, according to labor standards and occupancy
  • Establish & maintaining finances of department, to include cost per occupied room under budget guidelines; budget development and monitoring; maintain productivity and labor cost. Prepare reports as necessary
  • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment (room quality, cleanliness, facilities) to include VIP rooms, ensuring service standards are met
  • Submits recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space; follow up on Work Orders submitted to Engineering department.
  • Enforces standard procedures for the acceptance, security and return of guest lost and found items
  • Use company-wide tools, systems and applications without exception
  • Establishes and maintains adequate supplies for efficient operation of department; conducts inventories of linen, supplies and equipment on a monthly basis, ordering and receiving supplies so as to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Ensures proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with property’s HazMat program
  • Evaluates condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects.
Experience And Education

Minimum five years of progressive experience in hotels or related fields

Prior Executive Housekeeper experience

Experience leading teams in all areas of housekeeping

Experience with brand standards

Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
