Job summary

Island Hospitality Management, LLC. seeks an Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations, staff, and quality across the department while ensuring guests receive top-tier service and revenue is optimized.

The role may require flexible scheduling and involves supervising room attendants, inspectors, and laundry staff; budgeting, purchasing, and HR duties are included to drive department performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing sheets, towels, restocking supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and arranging rooms after checkout.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure rooms meet brand and company standards.
• Supervise room inspectors, attendants, houseperson and laundry attendants across housekeeping operations.
• Keep inventory of uniforms and supplies; place requisitions when needed.
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed guest service expectations.
• Control all purchases for the department, mindful of quality and cost.
• Prepare team member schedules aligned with budgets and forecasts.
• Manage HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.

As our Executive Housekeeper, you will be accountable for overseeing the organization, staff, and quality of the operations in the Housekeeping department while providing all guests with quality service and maximizing room revenue.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
• Conducting daily room inspections to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management's standards
• Supervise, monitor, and follow up on duties of Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Houseperson and Laundry Attendants engaged in all types of the hotel cleaning operation
• Keep an inventory of department uniforms and supplies and make requisitions when you need to replenish
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components of the housekeeping department to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
• Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectations
• Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost
• Prepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecasts
• Manage human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions
