Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Dual Executive Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping department, manage staff, and maximize room revenue while delivering quality guest service. The role requires flexible scheduling and strong leadership to maintain brand standards across operations.

You will supervise Room Inspectors, Attendants, and Laundry staff, handle budgeting and purchasing, and ensure guest satisfaction through proactive problem solving and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee organization, staff, and operations in housekeeping to maximize room revenue.
• Supervise Room Inspectors, Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants.
• Manage inventories, uniforms, and supplies; place requisitions.
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components for maximum revenue and minimum expenses.
• Prepare team schedules and manage HR functions including recruiting and training.
• Ensure guest service standards are met or exceeded.

Requirements

As our Dual Executive Housekeeper, you will be accountable for overseeing the organization, staff, and quality of the operations in the housekeeping department while providing all guests with quality service and maximizing room revenue.

This position requires flexible scheduling availability.

Job Requirements

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
• Conducting daily room inspections to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management's standards
• Supervise, monitor, and follow up on duties of Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Houseperson and Laundry Attendants engaged in all types of the hotel cleaning operation
• Keep an inventory of department uniforms and supplies and make requisitions when you need to replenish
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components of the housekeeping department to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
• Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectations
• Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost
• Prepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecasts
• Manage human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of budget preparation, payroll, and cost spending controls
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
• Valid Driver's License is preferred
