Qualifications

  • Spanish language preferred.
  • Experience in Union environment, gaming industry, and Forbes/AAA Accredited Resort Hotel.
  • Knowledge of Hotsos and LMS preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English.
  • Detail oriented and strong time management.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee budget, staffing, and operation performance.
  • Hire, motivate, evaluate and supervise staff; provide training to ensure guest service standards.
  • Establish department standards and administrative processes, including inventory control.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk, Marketing, and Player Development for events and group functions.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain asset security.
  • Maintain inventory levels of housekeeping and laundry supplies and linens.
  • Oversee inspection program and liaise with facilities for maintenance.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing the housekeeping team, as well as overseeing laundry and cleanliness of hotel tower common areas, managing the activities and functions of a housekeeping department, including monitoring of the budget, staffing issues, and operation performance, ensuring the delivery of quality service and cleanliness consistent with Hard Rock objectives and brand standards.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Hires, motivates, evaluates and supervises staff in order to ensure team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Responsible for morale of staff through quality of supervision, scheduling, and training and provides training for all assigned personnel to ensure guest service standards are met.
  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes, such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of the outlets.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining accurate inventory levels of all housekeeping and laundry supplies, as well as linens.
  • Conducts inspections of rooms and back-of-the-house areas to ensure compliance with procedures, security of company assets, and guest and team member safety.
  • Investigates and resolves guest complaints in order to maintain positive guest relations.
  • Coordinates with Hotel Front Desk, Marketing and Player Development to properly prepare for increased guest volume due to group functions and special events.
  • Oversees the inspection program and works closely with Hotel facilities team for consistent maintenance and minimum downtime of rooms.
  • Assures all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Works closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery and maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to the Virginia Lottery standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Hotel Housekeeping Management role or 4 years experience as Hotel Department Head in rooms discipline
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in Union environment, Gaming Industry, and Forbes/AAA Accredited Resort Hotel
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Hotsos and daily electronic board assignments, knowledge of LMS preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
  • Must possess the ability to take charge, make improvements, build teams and make decisions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities
  • Must possess good knowledge of computers
  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends
Work Environment:

Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the hotel and back of house of the property, which can be faced-paced. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand for long periods of time

$85,500 - $128,300/Salary
