Job summary

Stonebridge is seeking an Executive Housekeeper in Addison, Texas, to lead the housekeeping and laundry operations for the hotel. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, cleanliness, staffing, scheduling, and cost control under the General Manager’s guidance.

The candidate should have 5+ years in a supervisory housekeeping role, strong leadership, and budget management skills. A Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management is preferred but not required. Marriott experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop staff schedules within budgeted labor guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor supplies and inventory; place orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance for timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Coordinate with front desk on room status and clean room availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement deep cleaning and preventive maintenance programs.

Job Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing all aspects of the housekeeping department, ensuring high levels of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency throughout the hotel. This role oversees staffing, scheduling, training, and inventory management, while also collaborating with the General Manager to maintain service standards, control costs, and implement departmental programs.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Manage daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
  • Plan and organize cleaning schedules for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Develop staff schedules within budgeted labor guidelines to maximize productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department for timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Monitor guest service scores and address cleanliness or service issues promptly.
  • Oversee departmental budget planning and control costs.
  • Coordinate with the front desk on room status updates and clean room availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement deep cleaning and preventive maintenance programs.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Proven experience managing housekeeping operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and housekeeping management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and control costs effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Marriott experience preferred
Work Environment:
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 30 lbs. regularly, with frequent handling of housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
  • Full-time position with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
