Job summary

SAIC in Norfolk, VA seeks a senior fleet training team lead to provide deployment training exercise leadership for the US Fleet Forces Command. You will guide planning, execution, and after-action assessment for complex exercises, coordinating with flag officers and senior staff.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in Navy training/operations, strong public speaking and program leadership, and OFRP/FRTP policy familiarity with AARs. TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with Bachelor of Arts or Science degree and TS/SCI.
• Active military duty experience including recent fleet and Joint training experience, plus operational experience at a major command / staff at mid- or senior-grade officer level.
• Fifteen (15) years of technical, functional area management, and training analyst experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience in Naval Operations.
• Two (2) years of experience in Naval exercise planning; four (4) years desired.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills at the senior executive level; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, assessment, and oversight of exercises.
• Provide subject matter expertise on planning issues across the full spectrum of an exercise lifecycle.
• Support, analyze, coordinate, and provide responses to planning and execution tasks concerning exercises.
• Provide recommendations to USFF N7 representatives in forums, meetings and working groups.
• Provide subject matter expertise during planning, execution, and assessment events covering topics such as exercise control and OPFOR.
• Assist in coordinating and updating USFF N7 representatives on day-to-day exercise lifecycle execution.
• Assist in researching and coordinating exercise hot wash documents, AARs, and post-event analysis.
