Job summary

Friendship Church in Prior Lake, MN seeks a Senior Director of Finance and Operations to oversee finance, budgeting, HR, IT, facilities and risk management across multiple campuses. You will lead the finance team, coordinate with ministry directors, and ensure governance in line with church values.

The role requires a decade of business/operational experience, strong leadership, and the ability to train and mentor staff while maintaining compliance with church bylaws and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Master or MBA degree is preferred
• A minimum of ten years of Business, Finance and/or Operational experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Fluency in interpreting financial statements and contracts.
• Experience with budgeting/expense processes, control and fund accounting methodology.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in large organizations.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Knowledge of Proposals and SOWs.
• Process development/optimization experience.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Servant leadership and collaboration across ministry lines.
• Availability to work Sundays and Christian holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day staff and operations for finance, budgeting, administration, facilities, risk management, HR, IT, and related duties.
• Serve as HR Manager and liaison with HR & Payroll vendors.
• Manage internal resources, investments, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits.
• Provide support to Deacons of Operations on finance, banking, contracts, insurance and legal compliance.
• Ensure policies and processes are current and staff are trained.
• Attend Deacons of Operations meetings as requested.
• Supervise IT Director, Facilities Director, Finance, Food Services, and administrative staff.
• Payroll, benefits administration and HR compliance using internal and external resources.
