Job summary

Yakima Union Gospel Mission, a long-standing Christian nonprofit serving Yakima County, seeks a Senior Director of Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team. You will guide financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring faithful stewardship of resources for shelter, recovery, healthcare, meals, and hope.

You will collaborate with the CEO and Board, manage budgeting, forecasting, and capital investments, and mentor a high-performing finance team to sustain long-term ministry impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Progressive financial leadership experience in a nonprofit environment is valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted financial advisor to CEO, SLT, and Board.
• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee accounting, payroll, treasury, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and nonprofit-specific accounting standards.
• Prepare meaningful financial reports for leadership to inform decisions.
• Support fundraising initiatives and financial stewardship with Development leadership.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
