Job summary

Kansas Health Science University (KHSU)-Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (KansasCOM) in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an experienced financial leader to guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning in support of the university’s growth and academic mission.

The position offers senior-level financial oversight and collaboration with System CFO and shared-services teams, reporting to the President and collaborating with leadership across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts, financial models, and executive-level reports.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, multiyear forecasting, financial analysis, and institutional financial planning.
• Develop financial models, projections, and business cases for academic programs, staffing, facilities, grants, partnerships, and initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze budget variances, and recommend actions.
• Provide financial information and recommendations to University leadership, budget owners, and the Board.
