Job summary

GHD in Houston is seeking a Project Director - Energy Infrastructure to lead large, multidisciplinary energy projects and programs from pursuit to delivery, across natural gas, LNG, power, and energy transition initiatives.

You will own governance, risk, schedule, budget and quality, mentor managers, build trusted client relationships, and collaborate with regional teams to drive growth in Houston and North America while upholding GHD's values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years delivering major energy, utility, oil & gas, pipeline, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, commercial management, risk, change, and governance.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary teams and client-facing leadership roles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct large, complex, multidisciplinary energy projects and programs from pursuit through delivery.
• Establish governance, execution strategies, delivery plans, risk frameworks and project controls.
• Provide senior oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Lead integrated teams across engineering, environmental, permitting, procurement, construction management, and digital disciplines.
• Mentor Project Managers and technical leaders to build a culture of accountability and client service.
• Connect delivery capabilities with growth opportunities across energy, midstream, LNG, and energy transition clients.
