Job summary

Kentucky Waterways Alliance, Inc. seeks a full-time Executive Director to lead growth, oversee programs, fundraising, and staff leadership for Kentucky’s waterways. We value a proactive, strategic leader with a passion for conservation and community engagement.

Qualifications

Five+ years of nonprofit experience with at least three years in staff management.
Advanced knowledge of financial practices including budgeting.
Demonstrated success as a fundraiser including grants, sponsorships, and donor relations.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs fundraising efforts and membership growth strategy.
Cultivates relationships with donors, foundations, grantors, and members to secure grants and sponsorships.
Develops and directs a strategic business plan to strengthen organizational operations.
Executes special projects and long-term goals with staff support.
Recruits, develops, and leads staff to meet program goals.
Fosters a positive, inclusive culture with employee development and retention.
Oversees daily operations and ensures fiscal integrity.
