Job summary

Urban Land Institute Washington seeks an Executive Director to lead the council, shape strategy, and grow sponsorship revenue. The role requires a seasoned leader capable of building deep relationships with developers, public officials and regional partners while guiding a small, high-performing team.

The Executive Director will set priorities, oversee programs, and ensure effective governance. This position is based in Washington, DC and requires on-site presence and strong fiscal management.

Qualifications

• Led organizations, chapters or major programs with accountability for people, budget and outcomes.
• Proven success cultivating sponsorships, partnerships or other funding.
• Excellent public speaking and media skills; comfortable as a spokesperson.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic vision and annual operating plan for ULI Washington.
• Grow sponsorship revenue and lead relationships with major firms and institutions.
• Engage members across private and public sectors and expand regional participation.
• Represent ULI Washington publicly as spokesperson and thought leader with officials and the media.
