Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education – Required
• Law degree, public policy degree, or other relevant advanced degree – Preferred
• 15+ years of progressively senior experience in government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, regulatory policy, or related field
• Established credibility and relationships within the U.S. public policy community with senior policymakers, industry leaders, and trade associations
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute advocacy strategies and build coalitions around complex policy issues
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect political developments to business strategy and priorities

Responsabilidades

• Lead U.S. Government Relations & Public Policy function and develop a comprehensive U.S. strategy aligned with objectives
• Advise senior leadership on political, legislative, regulatory developments and implications
• Lead, develop, and manage the U.S. Government Relations & Public Policy team
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders
• Identify policy issues and provide timely insight into their business implications
• Coordinate with Global Public Policy for alignment on shared priorities
• Represent Santander before policymakers and in industry forums and coalitions
• Oversee engagement with Congress, the Administration, federal agencies, and state/local policymakers
• Coordinate with trade associations and ensure effective advocacy activities
• Translate policy developments into clear, business-focused guidance for leadership
• Ensure senior leaders are prepared for government engagements with briefing materials
• Oversee Santander’s PAC strategy and external consultants
• Keep leadership informed of significant policy developments
