Job summary

LSUS is seeking an Executive Director for Persistence and Career Outcomes to lead campus-wide student success initiatives, oversee the Student Success Center, and collaborate with Academic Affairs to align retention and employment outcomes.

The role reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and supervises directors, driving data-informed strategies and external partnerships to improve credential attainment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and five years of progressive leadership in student success, advising, or retention.
• Experience developing retention strategies and directing career services outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of higher education practices, advising, and partnership building.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership of campus-wide retention initiatives and student success programs.
• Oversees the implementation of a coordinated advising and retention framework across campus.
• Serves as a key collaborator with campus partners supporting academic support and supplemental instruction, first year and first-generation student initiatives, and transfer student success, ensuring these efforts are coordinated with advising and career services.
• Partners with Academic Affairs on the State of Louisiana's Meauxmentum Approach focusing on access and credential completion.
• Serves as institutional liaison to third-party student success partners, coordinating engagement and reporting.
• Coordinates policies related to student success and retention across federal, state, University, and campus levels.
• Leads university committees related to retention and student success.
