Job summary

Santander Group in the United States seeks a senior legal counsel, Executive Director, to lead day-to-day negotiation and drafting of securitization deal documents. You will provide strategic legal advice to the Corporate and Investment Banking Securitized Products Group on transactions across RMBS, CMBS, ABS and CLOs.

The role requires a J.D. and 8–12 years of securitization experience; NYC-based preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission in the state of practice.
• 8–12 years of securitization/structured products experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• NYC-based preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and drafting of loan agreements, repo agreements, and securitization documents.
• Advise the business on US securities laws and banking matters.
• Provide primary day-to-day legal support to CIB Securitized Products Group.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
