Job summary

Sitka Sound Science Center in Sitka, Alaska, seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic, programmatic, financial, and operational leadership. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will oversee a ~$6M operating budget and supervise six direct reports across education, research, finance, HR, aquaculture, facilities, and communications.

You will also evolve the organization and strengthen its role with funders and the public.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a ~$6M operating budget with more than 55 funding streams
• Lead six direct reports: Directors of Education, Research, Finance & Human Resources, Aquaculture, the Facilities Manager, and the Communications Coordinator
• Serve as an ambassador to funders, partners, and the public and evolve the organization beyond existing programs
