Job summary

The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center seeks an Executive Director, Coding to provide enterprise-wide leadership of centralized coding within the patient revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressive finance or revenue-cycle experience.
• Five years of leadership experience.
• Knowledge of large-scale patient coding requirements and clinical implications.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, administer, and lead centralized coding operations.
• Establish enterprise coding strategy, standards and performance expectations.
• Ensure coding accuracy, regulatory compliance and financial performance.
• Collaborate across Clinical Operations, Finance, Compliance, HIM and IT.
• Lead AI-enabled coding initiatives (CAC, NLP, automation) and governance.
