Job summary

SB Energy seeks an on-site Director to lead the development and integration of a multi-gigawatt power generation campus in the Portsmouth/Piketon, OH area. The role oversees commissioning, startup, and transition to commercial operation for a 9.2 GW project and coordinates with EPCs, utilities, regulators, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in energy infrastructure or large capital projects, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex construction programs on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in power generation or large capital projects.
• Experience leading projects >$500 million in capital value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the completion, commissioning, and startup of the 1.2 GW facility.
• Direct the Owner's Team through construction, commissioning, testing, and operation.
• Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Lead executive engagement with EPCs, engineers, OEMs, and utilities.
• Drive resolution of risks, change orders, and contractual negotiations.
• Establish governance, metrics, and reporting for project execution.
• Oversee transition from construction to operations and maintenance programs.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets and long-term planning.
• Oversee commercial agreements for fuel supply, transmission, and service contracts.
• Engage with ERCOT, PUCT, FERC, environmental agencies, and local governments.
