Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC, seeks an Executive Director for Patient Services & Retail Operations. This role leads strategy, performance, and transformation of critical patient-facing functions across the U.S. and Canada, reporting to the SVP of Global Supply Chain.

Hybrid work: three days in Burlington, two remote. The candidate will drive access, customer experience, and operating performance, leading large-scale programs with cross-functional teams and ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; higher education preferred.
• Experience leading multi-site operations in large distributed environments.
• Experience with enterprise-wide initiatives and influencing senior leadership.
• Proven ability to improve customer/patient experience through ops excellence.
• Experience using data, dashboards, KPIs to drive decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–50% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the long-term strategy for Patient Services and Retail Operations.
• Lead enterprise transformation initiatives to enhance scalability, access, and customer experience.
• Identify and implement innovative service models and market expansion opportunities.
• Establish governance frameworks and operating standards across the network.
• Drive continuous improvement and manage M&A integrations as needed.
• Oversee capacity planning, workforce optimization, and performance analysis.
• Partner with IT to implement digital capabilities and tech roadmaps.
