The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on fundraising, donor cultivation, and external relations, reporting to the Board and partnering with the Hudson River Park Trust to steward the Park's mission and growth.

• Track record building major gifts and fundraising programs.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with diverse donors and partners.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem solving in a nonprofit setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy and donor engagement for Hudson River Park Friends.
• Oversee and develop a team of development professionals and coordinate with the Board.
• Serve as the chief external ambassador, strengthening partnerships with the Hudson River Park Trust and city stakeholders.
• Set strategic priorities, ensure governance, and maintain financial stewardship for the organization.
• Represent Friends in communications, events, and public advocacy to advance the Park’s mission.
