With over 90 years of experience and a trusted brand, we now operate like a high-growth startup—launching innovative technology, data, and service solutions to meet the evolving needs of the education sector.

Who We Are

Are you energized by the opportunity to lead strategic cultural initiatives, develop growth metrics, and as coach, support managers and employees through developmental coaching grounded in adult development theory and DDO principles that will help drive innovation within education? If so, we’d love for you to join our growing team and help shape the future of financial services in education.

  • Mission-Driven Impact: At E&I, your work directly supports the success of educational institutions nationwide, from universities to K-12 schools.
  • Growth Culture: We are passionate about the power of culture to create conditions for excellence. We believe in the power of linking arms and lifting each other up in pursuit of common objectives. And we invest heavily in the personal and professional development of every single member of our team.
  • The Best of All Worlds: We’re ninety years old - but act like a startup. We’re a non-profit cooperative - with a high-growth enterprise mindset. We work hard – and play hard. We love success - but reward failure that comes from bold ideas and big swings. We combine tradition with innovation, passion with purpose, and ambition with heart.
  • We Live by Our Values: Relentless Learning, Candor with Care, Proud Owners, Better Together and Member Obsessed.
How You Will Do It
Strategic Leadership & Culture Transformation
  • Partner with the CPCO and VP of People to help execute the multi-year cultural transformation strategy aligned to E&I’s five core values and DDO design principles.

  • Serve as the executive steward of cultural development initiatives, including fostering a feedback culture, supporting polarity integration, psychological safety, and leadership capacity‑building.
Measurement & Analytics (First-, Second-, and Third-Person Metrics)
  • Design, implement, and manage an integrated Culture Dashboard to track organizational growth and cultural health.
  • Establish, identify, and use developmental metrics that capture:
    • First‑person data: individual learning, growth, and mindset shifts
    • Second‑person data: quality of relationships, feedback exchanges, and team safety
    • Third‑person data: organizational‑level trends, engagement, and member impact

Coaching & Leadership Development
  • Provide executive and developmental coaching to managers and high‑potential employees, grounded in adult development and DDO principles.
  • Mentor internal leaders to strengthen their ability to navigate polarity tensions, manage complexity, and foster self‑authoring mindsets across the organization.
  • Facilitate group learning experiences, including Immunity to Change, No Fault Formula, and other DDO‑aligned practices.
Organizational & Cultural Development
  • Scale E&I’s Boat Crew programs a driver of cross‑functional collaboration, developmental support, and cultural coherence.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to build curricula and leadership pathways that explicitly integrate E&I’s core values into every developmental program.
  • Serve as an internal thought leader on integrative frameworks, polarity management, and adult vertical development, ensuring these are embedded into strategy, structure, and operations.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in organizational development, cultural transformation, or leadership development roles, ideally in growth-oriented or membership-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise-wide cultural transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in adult development theory (e.g., Kegan, Loevinger, Torbert, Cook‑Greuter) and experience operationalizing these concepts in organizational contexts.
  • Deep familiarity with Deliberately Developmental Organization (DDO) and/or Teal Organization principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to design and manage multi-level developmental metrics (first-, second-, and third‑person methods and data).
  • Experience with teaching and securing psychological safety at various levels of an organization.
  • Hands‑on experience within integrative frameworks (e.g., Integral Theory, Action Inquiry, Polarity management) and applying them to leadership and organizational contexts.
