Job summary

Syndax seeks an Asset Strategy Lead for Early Development to guide cross-functional teams in shaping and executing the asset strategy from discovery through regulatory filings. You will take clinical lead responsibility and influence portfolio strategy at the executive level.

Ideal candidates have extensive oncology development experience, a proven track record leading global teams, and strong strategic, financial modeling, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or business.
• 10+ years leading oncology clinical development programs.
• Experience in IND, BLA/NDA and launch activities is a plus.
• Strong leadership, executive presence, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end asset strategy from early development through regulatory filings, approvals, and lifecycle management.
• Drive program strategy aligned with corporate objectives, balancing scientific innovation, clinical value, and commercial opportunity.
• Lead AST issue identification, contingency planning, and decision-making; ensure effective AST decisions.
• Liaise with Executive Leadership Team with updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Lead long-range planning, scenario planning, investment strategy, and external innovation assessments.
• Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Development to shape TPP and lifecycle planning.
• Resolve AST conflicts; oversee governance engagement and transparent communication on decisions, risks, budgets, and timelines.
• Foster accountability, innovation, and excellence; represent Syndax in strategic partnerships/collaborations.
