Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Director of Technical Program Management & Engineering Business Operations to lead the TPM function within Foundational Systems & Experiences Engineering (FSEE) and partner with executive leadership.

Hybrid role based in San Mateo, CA, with responsibilities spanning Americas TPM leadership, engineering business operations, and strategic initiatives across global teams. Travel occasionally for distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience leading complex technical programs in software, platform, infrastructure, cloud, or related engineering organizations.
• 5+ years of experience managing Technical Program Managers, Program Managers, or similar functions.
• Track record of leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Strong people leadership skills with experience building and growing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with annual planning, portfolio management, organizational operations, and executive reviews.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering processes, and technical architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Americas-based FSEE TPM team with a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Establish operating models, delivery standards, governance, and reporting mechanisms for complex programs.
• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and operations leaders to execute strategic initiatives across FSEE.
• Collaborate with TPM leadership in EMEA to standardize practices across regions.
• Develop talent, succession plans, and career paths within the TPM organization.
• Own annual planning and executive reviews to drive organizational health and performance.
• Drive operational excellence with metrics, dashboards, and KPIs.
