As the Executive Director of National Electronics, you will define priorities, plans, and objectives for manufacturing and distribution across multiple plants. You’ll leverage your expert knowledge of operations and deep understanding of Linde’s business strategy to ensure flawless execution and drive performance at the national levels Collaboration, strategic foresight, and operational discipline will be key as you work within a dynamic environment to meet safety, environmental, and financial goals. This position is responsible for dedicated electronics on site facilities. This includes air separation plants, site gas services, analytical equipment, hydrogen production, and bulk gas yards. The Executive Director of National Electronics leads a team of operations personnel across a wide range of technical and leadership skills. This person must be agile and able to work with ambiguity; the nature of operations means priorities shift quickly so you must be able to move between tasks without losing momentum. Our industry is rapidly growing and changing, requiring someone who can adapt quickly to the changing requirements.

  • You will set the standard and direct your team to be in compliance with all Safety and environmental rules and regulations
  • Ensure all plants are in compliance with both the Linde Quality system and the Electronics Quality system at all times, including additional requirements that may be customer dependent
  • Direct teams to flawlessly execute operational requirements and implement process improvements
  • Develop and manage operational plans that align with complex business objectives
  • Develop and manage budgets that span across multiple operating regions of the company
  • Interface with other members of the electronics team in the US to coordinate planning for plant needs and projects
  • Manage response strategies and ensuring effective communication plans are implemented at the plant level and with upper management
  • Work with the regional productivity team to identify and complete productivity projects (six sigma, lean, cost reduction, and soft savings) to meet your assigned goal
  • Achieve plant and product supply reliability goals while developing action plans to address performance deficiencies
  • Recruit, train, coach, and conduct performance reviews for team members to build a cohesive, high-performing management team
  • You will manage budgets, monitoring P&L performance, and influencing financial outcomes through strategic planning and execution
  • Budgeting and financial reporting may vary by plant and the business region they are in
  • Collaborate across levels of the organization to build alignment and ensure the achievement of shared goals
  • Direct operations teams for the startup of new plants and facilities
  • Mentor and coach plant operations teams
  • Interact with customers at a high-level regarding operations and operations improvement activities at each facility
  • Coordinate with the director of Electronics Support to meet business needs and align with customer goals
  • Also, work closely with regional operations directors and national support teams to meet the business needs of the regions

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 15+ years of operational experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar functions
  • 15+ years in plant management, with demonstrated success leading complex operations
